Yesterday afternoon was a prime example of our "you snooze, you lose" Carrboro real estate market.

A small home (937 sq ft, 2 bed/1 bath, 1952 brick ranch) off of Hillsborough Rd had a For Sale sign placed in the yard. Immediately, a frenzy of people went to see this property. As many of you know, (and desire) a house on Hillsborough Rd is a great location for anybody who wants to be within walking distance to Weaver St. Market or the Farmer's Market. It also was a great opportunity for somebody looking for a 'fixer upper'. By 8pm that night, the home was under contract. Less than three hours after it hit the MLS.

Where was Kandyce in all of this. Believe it or not, yesterday was my monthly "Free Home-Buying Class." So in the midst, of an already busy day, at 5:15pm I stopped my preparations for my 6pm class and went over to see this house. (YES-it was that important!)
